Nahid Chicani is a Senior Consultant and Partner at TRANSEARCH Brazil, where he dedicates himself to executive search since 2001.

He has a degree in Law from the Catholic University, Santos, and has participated in a broad range of top level management development courses at General Electric in Brazil and at GE’s Executive Management Development Institute in Crotonville, NY.

Nahid began his career at GE's Brazilian operations in the financia1 area (Budgets, Systems and Corporate Audit). Later, he moved to Human Resources with responsibility for GE's operations, businesses and plants in Brazil and in Latin America. He became spokesman for GE Brazil for 17 years, was then nominated Vice President of Human Resources, Communications, Government Relations and Business Development for Appliances and Medical Systems of Genera1 Electric do Brazil, in 1986.

In this corporate role, Nahid had strategic and operational involvement in severa1 acquisitions and joint ventures of key GE businesses. He was heavi1y involved with GE 's successful return to the white goods business in the Brazilian market through the GE-DAKO joint venture, as well as the development of GE's Medica1 Systems business.

Nahid is an active member of Rotary Club of Sao Paulo since 1984, having been President of the organization in 1996-1997, and District Governor in 2001-2002.

He is fluent in English, with a working knowledge of Spanish.
