Laura Carrer is a Senior Consultant of TRANSEARCH Brazil.

She is an Economics graduate from the Universidade La Sapeinza de Roma, Italy, with specialization courses in Foreign Trade in Rome and Perugia, Italy, and an MBA in International Business from FAAP, São Paulo. She also took a specialization course in retail at the University of Lisbon and presented a thesis on the development of Shopping Centers at the Universidade La Sapienza in Rome.

Laura Carrer began her professional career as a staff member at SECON, in the commercial and economic area of the Brazilian Embassy in Rome. Returning to Brazil, she was the administrative and financial manager at Egon Zehnder Internacional (Executive Search) and the Administrative and Financial Director of Astra Química (a pharmaceutical company).

In 1995, she was invited to manage the Foreign Trade area of the Portuguese group Jerônimo Martins (Retail), the former Supermercados SÉ, having been active there until the end of 2002. In 2003, she began working with the development of international business for SAB (a trading company) in São Paulo.

Since 2006 she has been active as a Senior Consultant in Executive Search, bringing her experience in international business and the retail sector to TRANSEARCH Brazil.

Global thinking, with local experience, is her great asset.

She is fluent in the English and Italian languages.
